When I found out that my friend—and my old hair stylist—had welcomed her second baby during the very same week I was already planning to be in town for sessions, it honestly felt meant to be. I didn’t even hesitate—I reached out right away to see if she’d want me to capture this sweet new chapter for her family and booked her newborn session. Having photographed her first baby, it just felt so special and full-circle to be able to do the same for her new little girl.
Walking into her home brought back so many memories, and it felt less like a session and more like stepping into a familiar, meaningful moment in her life. There’s something really personal about getting to document milestones for someone you’ve known beyond just the camera—it adds a layer of connection that you can truly feel throughout the entire experience.
I was so excited putting together the setups for her session, carefully choosing soft details and little touches that felt just right for her baby girl. And in between it all, we got to catch up, laugh, and just enjoy being in each other’s company again, which made it even more special.
Her baby was an absolute dream—so calm, so content, just a perfect little angel the entire time. Everything flowed so naturally, and the session felt effortless in the best way. It was one of those experiences that reminds me why I love what I do—not just capturing beautiful images, but preserving these deeply personal, fleeting moments for people who mean so much to me.
