This newborn session was the sweetest gift from her Auntie, a gesture filled with so much love before little Violet had even arrived. As soon as her Aunt booked the session, I reached out to the family and we booked them onto my calendar within those precious first two weeks of her life.
Mom and I chatted about all the things that make their world feel like home — the colors they gravitate toward, the textures they love, the overall vibe they imagined for Violet’s photos. She sent me photos of the nursery, and I soaked in every detail. Seeing a family’s space always helps me understand the atmosphere their images will eventually live in, the walls they’ll warm, the corners they’ll brighten.
When I arrived, their home felt peaceful in that way only a house with a brand‑new baby can. Soft light filtered through the windows, and their sweet little parakeet kept a gentle watch over me the entire time, chirping quietly as if offering its own tiny blessing. Everything felt unhurried, calm, and full of tenderness.
And Violet — oh, she was a dream. She slept so soundly, every so often she gifted us a soft, sleepy smile, the kind that makes your heart melt a little on the spot.
By the time I packed up, it felt like I had stepped out of a warm, quiet bubble — the kind of session that reminds me why I love what I do.
